Its been such a nice day chatting with everyone about the birds I saw this weekend. Thanks so much for all the comments, its so nice to have a common love - be it birds or beads :)
My class tonight went well. Finished up the first motif and my middle leaf turned out more like a feather, but I'm good with that - after all it's part of the bird nest motif, right?
I started my butterfly and am not really too keen on the red/green combo, but I will stick with it.

I started my butterfly and am not really too keen on the red/green combo, but I will stick with it. I choose this kit because of the poppy fabric, not realizing the beads were so Christmas-y looking.
Oh well, it's all good.
